Sony is bringing Sixaxis and Dual Shock 3 compatibility to the PSP, albeit in a very long-winded way. The new PSP Plus system announced at TGS 2008 will let you drop the PSP’s dodgy analogue button thing in favour of proper console controls.

Xbox 360 owners who crave the feel of a PlayStation 3 controller in their mitts can take inspiration from a forum user named RDC over at BenHeck. He pulled apart a PS3 Dual Shock 3 pad and stuffed a 360 controller’s guts inside. Perfect for playing the 360 version of Pro Evolution Soccer, perhaps - but don’t try it at home unless you’re handy with a soldering iron, eh?
