It looks like the world’s first Google Android phone will be relatively cheap - according to no less than the Wall Street Journal, the HTC Dream will launch soon for just under $200 (£110).

If that sounds elaborate, it’s because it is: according to the Wall Street Journal, people in the know have been whispering that a formal announcement on the first Android phone’s release date will be made on September 23rd, giving the company about a month to whip up some creamy excitement before release of the potential iPhone killer.
