DJ Hero, the upcoming Activision spin-off of the Guitar Hero series for the Sony PS2 and PS3, Microsoft Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii, is to retail for a recommended price of £107.99, according to one online retailer.
DJ Hero, the record-spinning spin-off from Guitar Hero, is to feature mash-ups (two records mixed together) of David Bowie’s Let’s Dance with Jack Of Spades by KRS One (DJ Shadow mix), Nirvana’s All Apologies with Give it To Me Baby by Rick James (DJ Shadow remix, again) and Tears For Fear’s Shout with Eric Prydz’ Pjanoo. Further featured mash-ups include tracks from Gorillaz, Marvin Gaye and Herbie Hancock.
Guitar Hero 5 has been announced, and its key innovation will be the ability to play any mix of four instruments in multi-player modes. Four drummers? Four singers? Four guitarists? Or any mix of guitarists, singers and bass and lead guitarists will apparently be possible (although whether you’ll be able to add a scratch DJ, or four, to your band line-up has yet to be revealed).
