Could more smartphones with the equivalent pixel display to the iPhone’s Retina display be on the horizon? Today Hitachi has announced that it has matched the iPhone 4′s Retina display.
The 4.4-inch LCD rocks 1280×720 resolution, and Apple pushes 960×640 on its 3.5-inch screen, giving the two equivalent screen pixels per inch ratio, and a pixel density that means you can barely detect the pixels with the naked eye.
