Arriving in January 2011, Dead Space 2 looks set to be next year’s first big game blockbuster. Its main story sees players return as prequel protagonist, Isaac Clarke, in another claustrophobic fight against mutant beings in a horror-filled storyline. A beta version of Dead Space 2 has made its way onto the consoles of several dedicated fans of the original slice-em-up survival horror.
Dead Space 2 isn’t due for release until early next year but if you are desperate to get a fix of zero-G Necromorph-on-Engineer action, EA are releasing a short prequel game to keep you going.
Dead Space: Ignition is being developed by original Dead Space developer Visceral Games and partner Sumo Digital. Unlike the action/rpg style gameplay of the full game, Ignition is described as “an interactive comic-style story” featuring choose-your-own-adventure style puzzle solving as well as some twitchy arcade action.
