Yesterday we did a quick straw poll to ask how many of you, our readers, were planning to leave T-Mobile at the end of your contract, or if any of you had jumped ship already in the data debacle. To our surprise, 57 per cent of you said you were going to leave T-Mobile, and a whopping 31 per cent said that you had already jumped ship. While intentions might ultimately lead to users staying, given the incentives mobile networks offer, it’s a strong indicator of the opinion of T-Mobile users after the blunder. Microsoft says there’s a fix on the way and told the BBC that it is “investigating the issue to determine the root cause and will update with information and guidance as it becomes available.” That’s good news but what about the people whose Windows Phone 7 devices munched right through their data allowances? Will Microsoft be offering compensation? We’re investigating.
