At Microsoft’s MIX 11 convention this year, the software giant set in place plans to release a firmware update to the Xbox 360. Set to roll out as early as this week, the update adds Avatar Kinect, support for a new disc format and PayPal payments. Unfortunately, Microsoft has confirmed the update will be incompatible with a small number of Xbox 360 consoles.

Microsoft has proved the internet rumour-mill correct and officially announced that the New Xbox Experience (NXE) will go live on November 19th.
