They’re Android 3.x “Honeycomb” compatible, but one option is a bit of a blast from the past: it uses a resistive touchscreen. Is Google’s tablet OS destined for the bargain basement?
The wave of Android tablets is breaking, with a new budget Android tablet launched almost every week. We’ve seen offerings from Advent, Binatone, Creative, Archos, Hannspree and more, all for under £300, and many for around the £100. Along with its duo of resistive Android tablets, the ZiiO 7” and 10”, Creative has also launched a new Zen player, the Creative Zen Touch 2. It’s a pocket sized “wireless entertainment device” (that’s a PMP to me and you), and is running Android.
This morning we got a look at the two new Creative Android tablets, the ZiiO 7″ and the ZiiO 10″. While they’re a snip at around £200, there’s also some major corner cutting gone on with Creatve’s latest offering.
Creative has launched two Android based tablets today, the ZiiO 7” tablet ad the ZiiO 10” tablet. The tablets are super cheap, with nifty skills focused on audio playback. How cheap? They start at £200. Way cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy Tab price, and a kick in the teeth for the iPad too.
