The battle among high-end processors begins next month. According to a report from DigiTimes, AMD is set to mass product its FX-series Bulldozer-based processors in August with a launch as soon as September and mass production in October. The Intel Core i5 and i7 series chips now have a new competitor.

Micro-Star International (MSI) introduced a new gaming laptop this morning, adding to its ever expanding notebook line up. This time, MSI is going after the high-end gaming market with its GE620DX. The notebook packs Intel’s Core i7-2630QM quad-core processor clocked at 2 GHz and Nvidia’s top-end GeForce GT 555M discrete graphics cards which includes Nvidia PhysX and DirectX 11 support.
The 2011 MacBook Air line will face stiff competition from Acer, Asustek, Dell and Lenovo very soon according to a report from DigiTimes. The industry insider has confirmed mass production of Intel-powered ultrabooks are scheduled for September. Leading the charge will be the Asus UX21 with its Core i7 processor and SanDisk SSD.
