This isn’t the first swivelly compact camera we’ve ever seen, but it’s perhaps the most cynical. Samsung’s MultiView MV800 was just unveiled at IFA in Berlin, packing a 3-inch flip-out display that Sammy says is specifically designed for “capturing the perfect self-portrait to polish your online profile.”
But, unfortunately, it doesn’t come with actual face-polish.
There’s a continual battle among camera makers to build the thinnest model in a particular class. Today’s champion is the Canon Ixus 1100 HS which the company claims is the slimmest 12x zoom compact to grace the shelves.
