Apple’s iBooks application for the iPad looked familiar to some independent developers when it was demoed yesterday. Now claims are flying that Apple was more than a little inspired by a Mac app called Delicious Library and an iPhone app that took design ideas from it called Classics.

When Apple announced that it was bringing out a 160GB iPod all other MP3/PMP manufacturers must have dropped a brick. Apple subsequently cut the Classic down to 120GB, which would have pleased them a little, but that still holds a whopping 30,000 songs or 150 hours of video!
iriver is better known for its polished PMPs than satnav skills, but the iriver M7 NV looks to marry the two together in one of the best looking maps in a box we’ve ever seen. Mio Navman better hurry that Freeview satnav up!

Nokia just let slip the new 6303 Classic. It’s a cut-price phone, sure, but under that shell there’s also a special skill: up to 7 hours talk-time, or more than two and a half weeks on standby. Read that again. Two and a half weeks!

Just to remind us how far the company has come with the new Latitude E-series, Dell wheeled out XPi, its first portable Latitude PC. It’s more of a leg-breaker than a laptop though. It was the first to introduce Li-ion batteries in 1994, but it weighed nearly 3kg and looks like an electric typewriter.
In 1962 this 14-inch portable TV was the last word in telly technology. Things have moved on somewhat, but the design by Zanuso and Snapper is a definite classic and its limited edition return is long overdue.
