UPDATE: Chart Track has now come up with some numbers to backup its claims: 92,000 Nintendo DSi units were sold over the console’s opening weekend.

Chart Track reveals that the Xbox 360 has nabbed the lion’s share of sales, trailed closely by the PS3 – a dramatic turnaround seeing as Resident Evil 5 is the first Resident Evil outing on a Microsoft console.

Killzone 2 has pipped Halo Wars to take top spot in the UK games chart and has become the second fastest selling UK title in the console’s history, according to Chart Track. Microsoft’s vaunted Halo franchise couldn’t keep PS3’s long-awaited exclusive from the number one position, which dislodged Street Fighter IV from the lead, pushing the PS3 version down to sixth place.
