Amid the flurry of budget Android tablets announced recently, we asked you whether you would be buying one this Christmas. The votes were closer than any other poll we’ve run before, with an almost equal number of votes each way.
The Advent Vega has sold out, of its second, or possibly third batch now. The unprecedented demand has floored Advent, and they haven’t been able to keep up. While the Advent Vega is listed as out of stock online, it’s popped up on Ebay and is being flogged for £100 more than the asking price.
The wave of Android tablets is breaking, with a new budget Android tablet launched almost every week. We’ve seen offerings from Advent, Binatone, Creative, Archos, Hannspree and more, all for under £300, and many for around the £100. HTC has unleashed the HTC Gratia, a new addition to its Android line up. The HTC Gratia is running Android Froyo 2.2 with HTC Sense, and while it will be popping up in some territories next month, it’s not going to be on our shores until Q1 next year, which means we’re looking at January time for UK availability.
