Uncharted 2: Among Thieves for the Sony PS3 and Brutal Legend, Tim “Psychonauts” Schafer’s freeroaming heavy metal action adventure, Brutal Legend, starring Jack Black, have dominated the influential Game Critics Best Of E3 2009 awards, taking four nominations apiece, including Best Of Show.

Hundreds of fans got together last weekend to set a new Guinness World Record, all in the name of EA’s upcoming new metal-themed game, Brutal Legend. 440 long-haired, sweaty revellers played air guitar simultaneously during the 2009 Download festival and scored some fresh publicity for the game, which is due out in October. Or rather, Rocktober.
