It looks like picture quality on Sony’s Bravia HDTV range is about to get a major kick up the backside: leaked plans show that the firm is gearing up to launch XBR8 series LED backlit screens later this year.
LED backlighting provides a massive improvement in contrast ratio and black reproduction, so we can’t wait to cast our eyes over these new offerings - if and when they hit the UK. Both models will also support DLNA media sharing too, so they should be able to stream videos and music from other DLNA devices.
