Blizzard has revealed several major changes coming to the third installment of Diablo, Diablo III. The franchise which began way back in 1996 will skip the fake currency and instead allow the buying and selling of in-game items for cold hard cash. Blizzard Entertainment has done us a solid this afternoon, confirming a public Diablo III beta launch for the third quarter of 2011. A release date is still out of the question, but CEO Mike Morhaime has confirmed “company-wide testing” began last week in a recent investor call.
