Massively multiplayer game Star Wars: The Old Republic got off to a tremendous start when it was released on PC last month. More than 60 million in-game hours have been racked up so far, and more than 1.5 million characters created. Now though, developer BioWare’s boss says it’s coming to Mac too.

There’ll be some frowning faces over at Facebook today. In an entirely unshocking move, Google has announced Google+ Games and it’s got big names on board already. Rovio announced Angry Birds Facebook earlier this year but the game has yet to flock there. Just like those pesky pigs with the eggs, Google’s grabbed it first.

Mass Effect 3 release date pushed back to early 2012Our hearts have been tingling ever since the Spike Video Game Awards when we saw our first glimpse of Mass Effect 3, by way of a one-minute trailer. Today the news is not quite so cheerful. GameStop is reporting Mass Effect 3, originally scheduled for Q4 2011 holiday season, will not be released until Q1 2012. As one of this year’s heavy hitters, the battle for Earth will just have to wait a few more months.

Bioware is celebrating. Dragon Age 2 has sold more than one million copies in the two weeks its been out in the world. To thank fans of Dragon Age 2, its offering a free copy of Mass Effect 2 for PC to all Dragon Age 2 owners. All you need to do is enter the code for the online pass that you god with the game (The Black Emporium DLC) at the Bioware site and it’ll show you the way to your free Mass Effect 2.

If you’ve previously registered on Bioware Social but have now lost the card with your code, just log in to the site and hit the “Lost my code” link. That’ll automatically activate it. Hit the headline and head for the comments to let us know how you’re finding Dragon Age 2.

Mass Effect 2 DLC leaked in Bioware screenshotsThe unannounced downloadable content (DLC) for Mass Effect 2 has yet to be confirmed by Bioware, but that hasn’t stopped activity on their official Facebook page.
