Now a new patent has come to light, pointing to a possible return of backwards compatibility in Sony’s latest console.

Windows 7 has hit its first stumbling block, one which could blow up to be as big as the ‘Vista Capable’ kafuffle. The much hyped XP Mode software, which allows Windows 7 to run old software designed for Windows XP, won’t run on certain kinds of Intel processors. And the real snag is that these incompatible chipsets can be found inside some of the most popular computers available today.

God Of War III’s Collector’s Edition could feature all the previous games in the series, God Of War and God Of War II, on Blu-ray disc. Sony are currently conducting a PlayStation Network survey amongst fans of God Of War, asking what they’d like included in God Of War III’s Collector’s Edition.

As well as the usual t-shirt, comic book and “making of” feature, Sony looks set to offer the option of “God Of War and God Of War II on Blu-ray disc”.

Nintendo’s Wii MotionPlus add-on launches 12 June. Designed to improve the accuracy of the WiiMote, MotionPlus won’t apparently improve the WiiMote’s accuracy with older games that weren’t designed specifically to work with the add-on.
