After a year of teasing us from across the Atlantic, Amazon is bringing the Amazon Appstore to Europe. Does this mean the Kindle Fire is coming too?
Amazon has devised a clever yet unoriginally means of besting the iPad — it will focus on price. Using its economies of scale, Amazon will introduce its first tablet for “hundreds less” than Apple’s iPad 2. According to the New York Post, the company’s first of at least two Android tablets will be released in either September or October.
This is not our first rodeo with the Amazon’s tablet line. Back in May BGR reported that Amazon was working on two prototypes: the dual-core “Coyote” and the quad-core “Hollywood”. Assuming this information is accurate, the “Coyote” would presumably launch first — corresponding with the September or October time frame.
