The iPhone is to get a port of the classic 2D strategy game Worms (no, not that kind of worm). The creators of the Worms franchise, Team 17, announced their intention to bring the game to the Apple iPhone in 2008.

Even better, new screenshots show the game in action on the iPhone’s touchscreen and indicating that it’s edging close to release.
