The Apple iPhone is to receive a slew of id Software-related games soon, including Quake, Doom, Wolfenstein and even Rage titles, id’s John Carmack has confirmed.
Apple iPhone 3GS hackers have already succeeded in getting the new, faster hardware to run retro games from the Sony PSOne and Nintendo DS.
Apple has announced that “third-party game accessories” are on their way to the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch. A listing of new OS 3.0 benefits for the Apple iPod Touch says: “Connect fun new game accessories via the iPod touch 30-pin connector and Bluetooth.”
