HTC Jetstream is official, lands September 4 on AT&TThe rumors have panned out. HTC’s first 10.1-inch tablet, which also happens to be AT&T’s first 4G LTE/HSPA+ tablet, will arrive in company-owned retails stores starting September 4. The HTC Jetstream runs Android 3.1 Honeycomb and packs a dual-core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon processor. HTC Scribe support is also confirmed so be prepared to doodle with the optional digital pen.

Other highlights to the HTC Jetstream include 1080p playback and capture, Adobe Flash Player, HTC Sense UX for tablets, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing and 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with dual LED flash, microSD card slot and a massive 7,300 mAh battery. Dimensions-wise the Jetstream is 7-inches long, 9.87 inches wide and .51 inches deep, and weighs 25 ounes.

lg gslateYour favorite 8.9-inch Android tablet, the LG G-Slate, should start to see an Android 3.1 Honeycomb update roll out today. Over on the LG Forum, a forum moderator by the name of LG Product Pro broke the news yesterday saying “the update should start pushing out today or tomorrow.” The Android 3.1 Honeycomb update had been expected since late June.

At the time of publishing this report, no users of the LG forum had reported receiving the over-the-air (OTA) update. With the Motorola Xoom receiving its Android 3.2 update last week, the LG G-Slate desperately needs to keep pace. We’ll keep our eyes peeled for a manual download link, but if you happen to receive the OTA update notification, please do let us know.

Android Honeycomb beta leaked for Logitech RevueThe promised Android Honeycomb update for Google TV has arrived early for owners of the Logitech Revue. The leaked build appears to be an official update since it does not require your device be rooted to install. Instead, the only disclaimer is that one you run the update you cannot revert to Android 2.1. If you understand the risk then by all means, please proceed.

HTC to slay the iPad 2 with Honeycomb tablet announcement on June 27th?The big brother to the HTC Flyer may be headed our way on Monday, June 27th. The company has begun sending out invites to a press event in London. An Android Honeycomb tablet, among other devices, is expected to headline the show.

We’ve known for some time HTC was planning a larger tablet. Codenamed Puccini, the soon-to-be announced slate will ship with Android 3.1 Honeycomb and include 4G support for AT&T’s HSPA+ network. Unlike the HTC Flyer which uses the pen/stylus, Pucinni will be all fingers.  The slate is rumored to use a 1280 x 800 pixel display and feature Qualcomm’s MSM8660 1.5GHz dual-core processor.
