This story started out as a post about the Advent Vega being back in stock just in time for Christmas, after selling out two lots of stock online. But before we could finish writing the story, it sold out again. That’s at least the third batch of stock to go. The first batch of the Advent Vega lasted just a couple of hours, and the second not much longer than that. Since selling out the Advent Vega has been popping up on eBay for over £100 more than the RRP, with some selling for as much as £390. Stock is coming and going, but doesn’t stay available for more than a couple of hours.

The Advent Vega has sold out, of its second, or possibly third batch now. The unprecedented demand has floored Advent, and they haven’t been able to keep up. While the Advent Vega is listed as out of stock online, it’s popped up on Ebay and is being flogged for £100 more than the asking price.

The wave of Android tablets is breaking, with a new budget Android tablet launched almost every week. We’ve seen offerings from Advent, Binatone, Creative, Archos, Hannspree and more, all for under £300, and many for around the £100. Some of them were better than others, and the Advent Vega has trumped the rest in the attention it’s received. The question is, will you be investing in an Android tablet this Christmas?
