Dell claims it’s racked up $6.5m in Twitter-driven sales since it started tweeting deals around two years ago. $3.25m a year in a turnover of $61bn dollars isn’t actually much but Dell is pretty proud of its many Twitter streams.
Manish Mehta, vice-president of Dell Online, says Twitter is a “very vibrant channel” and claims Dell’s total followers on Twitter have jumped by 23% in the past three months. Dell’s DellOutlet Twitter account is followed by almost 1.5m followers.
