The Daily Mail is at it again. The trailer for Modern Warfare 3 which features scenes of battles in London as well as other European cities has set the hyperbolic scandal sheet into overdrive.

Because the game features scenes in London and the trailer includes a moment with a Tube train, the paper has jumped immediately to the most horrific association possible: the 7/7 bombings. But, as is quite often the case with The Daily Mail, the “controversy” that its wailing about begins and ends with its own story…

The date with destiny between our gaming consoles and the third installment in the Modern Warfare trilogy is now official. Diablo III is real, public beta goes live Q3 2011

The game studio’s first quarter profits sounded to the tune of $503m, up from $381m during the same period last year.
