Gameloft have released Guitar Rock Tour for the Apple iPhone (and other mobiles) – a music game that’ll be very familiar to fans of Guitar Hero and Rock Band. Gameloft describe it as an “alternative to Activision’s Guitar Hero”, but you could just as well call it a fairly straight rip.

Guitar Rock Tour: Guitar Hero-a-like for iPhone
Call Of Duty: World At War “tasteless” trailer, “bullshit” quotes
Call Of Duty: World At War is getting fire from all sides currently. The game’s current Internet trailer has been called “tasteless” for superimposing heavy rock and “rear-window sticker” phrases over visceral and shocking images of WWII action. And to top that off, Infinity Ward, makers of the last Call Of Duty game, Modern Warfare, have hit back at Treyarch, developers of World At War, and Activision, for constantly comparing the two games.
Musical instrument shops to sell Guitar Hero: World Tour
Activision has partnered up with music distribution company Active Music, to have copies of Guitar Hero: World Tour sold in proper musical instrument shops across the UK. This is not (just) a desperate move to beat rival rhythm game, Rock Band 2, by sheer weight of numbers; there’s apparently some rational thought to it:
Guitar Hero World Tour drums get a bashing from angry fans
Activision is aware of and is responding to issues that have been raised by purchasers of Guitar Hero: World Tour’s new drumkit in the US. Forum posters have raised concerns over drum pads not registering both hard and soft hits. Meanwhile, PS3 gamers are complaining that, despite promises to the contrary, it appears the new Guitar Hero and Rock Band peripherals are not fully cross-compatible for their console (while apparently working on the Xbox 360).
