UPDATE: We’ve just had new pricing confirmed for iTunes in the UK. As of April 2009, iTunes will be charging at three price points, 59p (For songs nobody wants), 79p and 99p (Latest releases, no doubt) and most albums still priced at £7.99. iTunes Plus will now also offer DRM-free songs encoded at a crystal clear 256kbps.


Steve Jobs has been hinting at freeing iTunes from its DRM shackles for the best part of three years now, but it’s finally happened: Apple has just confirmed it’s going totally DRM free, starting today!
