The Samsung N310 netbook makes the most of the latest developments in mobile computing to offer a battery life in excess of five hours from a single charge. One of the ways it does this is by using a power-efficient LED screen.
A standard laptop screen, for example, would use two flourescent tubes to light the panel. Not only is this a heavier solution, it’s also less power effiecient. The LED screen on the Samsung N310 uses a row of small LED lights instead. Each light uses a fraction of the power of a flourescent tube but manages to deliver a most consistent and truer brightness.
