Samsung E65 eReader lands in UK

The Amazon Kindle may be selling like warmed-through baked goods, but there are plenty of other eReaders vying for your literary dollar – like the Samsung E65, which has just hit the market in the UK. It boasts a 6-inch 600 x 800 eInk screen, full QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi and a digital stylus for making notes.
This morning Samsung announced a partnership with Take That for their upcoming tour Progress Live 2011. While Samsung sent out a rather excited press release bigging up the sponsorship slot, Take That were less than genuinely enthusiastic at the press conference held to announce the tour. Windows Phone 7 was previously incompatible with Macs, but no more: Microsoft has just launched the public beta of Windows Phone 7 Connector, a free app allowing users of the new smartphone platform to sync music, videos, photos and podcasts from an OS X machine.
Amazon claims Kindle eBooks are trouncing traditional print books on the sales front, at least where the bestseller lists are concerned. The online retail giant says that, over the past 30 days, Kindle eBooks have outsold print books (both hardback and paperback) by a ratio of 2 to 1 on its top 10, 25, 100 and 1,000 lists.
Adobe is showing off a raft of spangly new tools, and this is one of our favourites: a tool codenamed Edge. Edge is a prototype for building HTML 5 graphics and animations, and it’s all about the way your page moves. In other words, Adobe wants to be the HTML 5 Louie Spence to your sloppy-thighed web page. But more importantly, this seems to be a direct competitor to Flash. Is Adobe admitting that Flash is dead?
