Alongside the fanfare for its Bose VideoWave soundsystem-in-a-telly Bose has also launched the Bose Lifestyle 235, a 2.1 home entertainment system made up of an head unit, subwoofer, iPod dock and dinky speaker arrays, and while it’s not quite as exciting as the Bose VideoWave, it gives out great sound for such a small bundle, if you can afford to shell out.

Exclusive: Vodafone may not be planning to sell the Vodafone 945 Android phone in the UK, but if you want a Google blower for cheap, it should still have you covered soon: the network has revealed it plans to sell several models on Pay As You Go, as well as contract, we can reveal. “There will be a number of low end Android devices introduced on Pay As You Go”, a spokesperson told us today.

UPDATE: Ah. Vodafone UK won’t be stocking the Vodafone 945 for the time being. A spokesperson confirmed to us that the company is “not at the moment planning to offer the 945 in the UK”, citing other low end Android phones already on sale through the network.
The Vodafone 945 has just been outed, and while it’s another “competitively priced” Android phone, the specs are a whole lot more tempting than the rather bland Vodafone 845 launched earlier this year. Read on for the photos and details.

Here’s an exciting tidbit: Fable 3 is getting an official smartphone app tie-in. Fable 3 Kingmaker is out on Friday (October 1) and headed for an as-yet undefined array of mobiles. We’d expect a Windows Phone 7 version with Lionhead Studios being a Microsoft subsidiary but whether it’ll hit iPhone or Android is unclear.
The description of Fable 3 Kingmaker suggest a Foursquare-style location based app. It’ll task you with planting virtual flags for the Royals or the Rebels and offer power-ups for different UK locations. The flags and power ups you pick up will earn you gold coins which you’ll be able to transfer to Fable 3. Sounds like that Windows Phone 7 Xbox Live integration in action.

It’s a shame really, as the Toshiba Portege R700 is by far the most impressive of the trio – so much so that we’re not hesitating to give it the full five stars. Read on to find out why in our full Toshiba Portege R700 review.

The Toshiba Portege R700’s big selling point is just how much power it packs into such a slim shell. You can find out more about the performance in that section of our Toshiba Portege R700 review, but if you want to know how that shell shapes up, read on for our in depth Toshiba Portege R700 review: Build section and we’ll explain all.

Sure, the Toshiba Portege R700 is impressively built, with a decent keyboard and an almost scandalous number of ports shoved into the sides of its slim chassis. But they’d be frivolous without enough power under the bonnet and the runtime to match. Do the innards of the Toshiba Portege R700 come through? Find out in this section of our Toshiba Portege R700 review.
