The LG Arena is an all-round entertainer, but that doesn’t stop with the music, photos and video you already have loaded on the phone. The S-Class software inside is so smart it’ll even let you grab more content, including podcasts from the web, when you’re away from home. Read on to find out how.
Load up from your PC
If you have podcasts on your PC they’re simple to load onto the LG Arena. Just hook it up to your computer using the included USB cable and choose Mass Storage from the options on the phone’s screen.
You’ll see the phone appear under “My Computer” on Windows or as an icon on the desktop of Macs. Click into it and open the “sounds” folder. Next, just drag your podcast files inside. If you use iTunes to subscribe to podcasts, you can even drag them direct from your podcast list to the “sounds” folder to copy them across.
If you have video podcasts, they’ll play too. Just drag them onto the LG Arena in the same way, but drop them into the “videos” folder instead of “sounds”. Once they’re onboard, the S-Class software will do the rest for you.

Automatic syncingIf you’re using a PC, install the LG PC Suite software that comes included with the LG Arena. It includes a program called Music Sync that will automatically copy music tracks to the phone whenever it’s plugged in. And you can add podcasts too.
Just fire up Music Sync whenever you like, and add new podcasts to it. The next time you plug in the LG Arena, choose ‘Music sync’ from its on-screen menu, and it’ll automatically copy over new podcasts.
Download on the go
If you want to grab new content while away from your computer, the LG Arena can do that too. Some podcast providers allow you to download their wares over the air, either using Wi-Fi of the mobile network.
The BBC offers such a service for its radio podcasts. Just tap into the LG Arena’s browser and point it towards www.bbc.co.uk/radio/podcasts/mobile where you’ll be able to browse by radio station, genre or simply by A-Z.
Once you’ve found a podcast you’d like to listen to, just tap “download this episode” and it’ll be added to the LG Arena’s download manager, and saved to the phone ready for listening.
