Sharp dishes up all-in-one cinema
Looking for a simple to set up cinema system? Sharp’s got you covered. It’s just launched the HT-DV50H home cinema system, packing a DVD player with support for almost every format going (including DivX and MP3), as well as beefy 250 watt speakers and a 100 watt subwoofer. Around the back, there’s HDMI output and a USB input. The only downside is that its radio is FM rather than DAB. Other than that, it’s pretty much perfick!

Inside the DAV-F200 is full 1080p upscaling from DVDs, Bravia Sync technology, so you can control your entire AV set up with one remote, and a whopping 405 watt output for thundering sound. Best of all, DVDs load vertically in the side of the unit. Perfect for posers, and those with wall-mounting needs.

Sharp cuts the cables on HD TV
Wall mounting a flatscreen TV, but don’t want cables dangling out the back? Then you need Sharp’s new box of tricks. It’s been made in partnership with AMIMON, and sends full HD pictures in uncompressed form from any source to Sharp’s new X-series LCD TVs. It’ll work up to 30 metres, and even beams pictures through walls. It’s on sale in Japan with the new TVs already, but there’s no word on when it’ll hit the UK. Yet.

Using your PC as a monster media centre? Slap Sony’s new speakers into your set up and you’ll get an instant upgrade to your aural experience. The SRSZX1 speakers come packing 40 watts of power, and an all aluminium shell. There’s also a compact remote, so you can twiddle volume from across the room. Inside there’s Sony’s special Mobius Duct technology to minimise wind noise while enhancing bass, as well as a Sigma-Type magnetic circuit to give the speakers more oomph overall.
