We’ve lost count of the number of times our sat-navs have got us out of the wilderness. Who needs a map when you’ve got GPS? But now the road-conquering technology has found its way to the golf course with the Sureshot GPS to help golfers lower their handicap.

Official: TomTom coming to iPhone
Now it’s confirmed the 3G iPhone comes packing GPS, TomTom’s let slip that its satnav software will run on Apple’s handset.
Bargain Bluetooth satnav from Binatone
Hot on the heels of their genius camera-equipped satnav, Binatone just gave us a peek at this, their latest Bluetooth-toting navigator, that’s an absolute steal at £100.
3G iPhone forced to include GPS?
Bored of 3G iPhone rumours yet? No? Good because here’s another one: the latest tidbit doing the rounds is that it will definitely tout GPS, thanks to new FCC regulations.

TomTom snaps up Tele Atlas for better maps
TomTom’s not content with letting satnav owners tweak their own maps using Mapshare technology, it’s just been given the go-ahead to buy Tele Atlas, giving more accurate updates with fewer months between them.
Satnav and reversing camera in one!
Binatone just wowed us with the first satnav to pack a rear-facing camera. It’s easily installed in your car’s existing number plate screw fixings, taking power from a simple coupling with the reversing light. As soon as you change into reverse, the camera broadcasts colour pictures wirelessly to the satnav so you can see where you’re parking. The T430 also includes Bluetooth so it can be used as a hands free speaker phone with your mobile.

Bend me, shape me, baby navigate me!
TomTom’s updated its One and XL satnavs with smaller shells and a handy bendable dashboard mount built in. The new models come packing an entirely new audio system too, so directions are clearer than ever. When you leave the car, the windscreen mount can be folded back into the satnavs, which are still small enough to fit in a shirt pocket. As usual, TomTom’s ultra-simple software, mapshare features, safety cameras and optional traffic information is built in too.
