Konami’s just alerted us to the next expansion pack for stealth-a-thon, Metal Gear Online. The new content, dubbed MEME, adds new characters, levels and gameplay modes to the PS3 game.

Sony PS3 Home open beta in “coming weeks”
An open beta of Home, Sony’s rival to the Xbox New Experience (and Nintendo’s Miis), will be available in the “coming weeks”, available to all PS3 owners. In an official post on Sony’s Home forum, Home’s community manager “TedTheDog” has said that the plan is to ramp up numbers in the current closed beta rapidly to “load test” the system, including adding European language testers. Once load testing is complete, Sony will move to an open beta.

It may not feature motion-control, but an “easter egg” found inside Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, Rare’s new Xbox 360 game, seems to reveal what the legendary company may be working on next.
Wii outsells Xbox 360 2:1, Xbox outsells PS3 2:1 in US October
NPD data has shown that Sony sold 190,000 PS3s in the US in October, with Microsoft Xbox 360s selling nearly double that at 371,000. Nintendo, of course, still holds top spot, with the Wii selling more than four times the number of PS3s – 803,000. Perhaps it’s time for Sony to rethink that no price cut policy?
Fils-Aime: Nintendo “will keep pace” with user-generated content
Despite being a little late to get behind the whole Internet gaming fad, Nintendo US’s President Reggie Fils-Aime has pledged that his company will “keep pace” with the changing face of games, and specifically the emerging trend for user-generated content. Speaking at the BMO Capital Markets Interactive Entertainment Conference, Fils-Aime showcased four Japanese titles to back his words.
