As expected, the new Google Chromebook – the Samsung Series 5 – is going to hit a damn tempting price point.

The Wi-Fi only version will cost just £349 form PC World, while the Wi-Fi & 3G model will cost just £399.

Both models will be available from 24th June, from both PC World and Amazon.co.uk.

LG is cock-a-hoop – it has just announced that the wildly popular (and soon to be made into a film) Angry Birds Rio will come pre-loaded on all LG phones.

The roll-out starts with the Canadian version of the Optimus 2X. Yong-seok Jang, VP of Business Strategy at LG’s mobile arm, said: “Angry Birds Rio will help showcase the power, smoothness and speed of LG’s Optimus series of Android smartphones to our customers.”

Wasteful, moronic, sickening… and yet hugely satisfying to watch. That’s our verdict on the bizarre video below, which shows three leading smartphones grilled like common hamburgers (or ‘patties’ if you are American and slightly twee). We particularly like the bit where the iPhone pleads for its life by flashing up a hazard sign with the word ‘Temperature’ written ominously below.
