One drawback to having a generously sized laptop is needing to cart around the equivalent of a mini luggage holder everywhere

After trying N50 around the house for just over a week it was time to take it onto the road. Laptops are meant to have an attention span longer than their power cords so it was time to see how well the N50 handled on the move. But before our road trip I had to find something to put it in.

The Bamboo U6's natural finish gives it that lovely outdoorsy feeling
As a recent creative writing student (OU course I’ve just finished) and with the next, advanced course, rapidly approaching, my main use for this laptop should I get to keep it would be to complete my coursework, which mainly consists of short stories and poetry. Read more

Wireless is go!
Well I have to say I was dreading setting up the wireless connection for this laptop. When I tried to set up the fingerprint scanner the instructions turned out to be in Chinese. (OK, they weren't, but they might as well have been considering how confused I was!) And so I was afraid that the instructions for setting up the wireless connection would be just as confusing. Plus the fact that my usual wireless access point is becoming increasingly temperamental meant that it looked like I had quite a task ahead... Read more

The keys are particularly well suited to sausage-like digits it seems

Over the last couple of days I’ve deliberately taken the time to use the laptop all over the house. From my desk to the sofa and from the kitchen to the bedroom just to see how well it adapts to each environment. I hope you’ll forgive me for not having tried the laptop out in the garden yet as lets be honest the weather hasn’t been too terrific.
