The N80's got a fingerprint scanner for secret agent style logging in
It’s about time that I run through the software which is bundled with the Asus N80. There are a number of manufacturer-based applications and third-party applications included when opening the box, and I will run through the main software included and what it is used for in today’s blog post. So the great moment has arrived. But how do I make the switch? I have horrible memories of struggling with new partitions, running into special bits of Microsoft code designed precisely to make it tough to switch to another operating system ... Maybe there is a better way? Of course, you are supposed to be able to get EeePCs preloaded with Linux, indeed they are supposed to be cheaper that way, but the review machine is firmly preloaded with Windows XP. Read more

The Asus ET1602's games offer up some tactile treats
I have invested in a new camera so I can film ET (ET1602) more; I justified the expense that if he’s going back it would be nice to film our time together! So here I have a film of me playing around with ET, you can see me eating Nemo! Although yes the guilt is still eating away at me and I promise I swam into the dangerous fish just to illustrate the game not that I am that thick! Read more

Lappys need leg room too

One of the main advantages of a laptop is that besides being a dutiful work horse it can also act as your travel companion. Luckily, we have come a long way since the original portable computers which were suitcases so massive that you wouldn’t be allowed to check them in at many airlines not to mention have them as your carry on. Though when it comes to travelling with a laptop Antoine De Saint-Exupery (1900 – 1944) put it best when he said “He who would travel happily must travel light”.
