Google Nexus One
The Google Nexus One is the first phone from the creators of the Android operating system. For that reason, you’d expect this Android phone to be pretty special, and you’re not wrong.
Inside its slinky shell is the very latest version of Android, offering animated wallpapers, some of which interract to your touch or even the microphone, as well as a tweaked interface with slicker menus and revised homescreen navigation. It’s also lightning quick, thanks to the 1Ghz processor humming away inside.
Sure, the Google Nexus One is manufactured by HTC and shares the majority of its exterior design with the HTC Desire, but inside it’s a completely different phone. Google has reserved several software tricks for its own-brand baby.
For a start, only the Nexus One is capable of running the Google Earth Android app. There are also exclusive homescreen themes and enhancements. This is an Android phone that looks very different to the others once you start to swipe through its screens.
