In their unceasing quest for the size zero screen, LCD manufacturers have been whittling down their panels to ever-slimmer proportions, but it’s BenQ that takes the prize for the world’s slimmest 24-inch widescreen monitor – just 6cm at its thickest point! That’s enough to bag design awards from both iF and Red Dot as well. Read more

Is Apple preparing an update to the iMac?
According to Mac-watchers at GeekSugar, Apple could be replacing all of its iMacs as early as Tuesday, but before you rush out to blag a good spot outside your local Apple store to unroll your sleeping bag, the new models could be a disappointment. Read more

sagem.jpg
Until now, Sagem has only looked on at the escalating battle to turn out the coolest and cleverest handset that Sony Ericsson, Samsung and LG are currently locked in. Sagem’s phones meanwhile, have tended to be a procession of boring bricks, but the my721x So iCE is the brand’s sleekest and sexiest to date. The chrome and brushed metal looks pretty slick and gives it the cold touch that its model name hints at, but it’s also well featured too. Aside from the Blutooth and tri-band reception, there’s a 3.2MP camera with 6x digital zoom and 512MB memory card and for those that like their mobile to carry a tune, there’s an FM radio and 3D speaker built in. Wireless Wii Nunchuck
Although the Wii ships with a perfectly good nunchuck in the box, it’s plain white and tethered to your Wiimote with a crummy cable. The Kama ‘chucks from Nyko, on the other hand, are wireless and better still, multi-coloured. The limited edition paint jobs include grey, pink, black and gold, but hurry, only 300 were made in each livery and just 150 in gold and black. Or better still, you could just buy a regular white nunchuck and pimp it yourself with the money you’re saving. Out now | Price $35 Nyko (via Wii Fanboy)
samsung-monitor.jpg
Samsung has been upping the style stakes with each new wave of products, so it’s not surprising to see more colours being added to its TOC (Touch Of Colour) line of monitors. The T190, T220, T240 and T260 are now available in a deep ruby red infusion that’s meant to look like blown glass. We have to admit, the minimalist design and smooth finish is not unattractive to our uncultured eye and we approve of the energy efficient power consumption – 50% lower than the competition. It’s the 20,000:1 contrast ratio, a speedy 2 ms response time and the handy HDMI input that really get us going though. Out July | $499 (T240) $599 (T260) Samsung (via Businesswire)
