Just bought your Samsung Galaxy S3? Oh dear. Certainly, the monster flagship from Samsung is a worthy Android king, but is its flagship status set to be revoked well before its time? Are we just a short while from the Galaxy S4?

Rumours emanating from Samsung’s native South Korea suggest that the Galaxy S3’s reign at the top of the Android heap could well be short-lived. With Apple upping the ante and launching the iPhone 5 just in time to soak up every drop of the Christmas sales business, Samsung needs to act fast.

To that end, Korea Times is suggesting that inside sources have tipped the Galaxy S4 for an unveiling at MWC 2013, which will be in February.

Obviously, very little is known about the phone at this stage, but the consensus is that Samsung’s solution to the iPhone 5 problem will be to outsize Apple’s handset by an even larger margin – the Samsung Galaxy S4 could boast a huge 5-inch display.

Take this with a pinch of salt for the time being, but don’t rule anything out at the same time: Samsung will do whatever it deems necessary to retain an edge over Apple.
