As you’re probably more than well aware, the iPhone 5 is set for its official unveiling on Wednesday. But will the event also bear some slightly larger, more desktop-focussed fruit? Insider sources claim that the next iMac is just around the corner.
The rumours surrounding the next iteration of Apple’s desktop PCs have been growing for months now, with many of the opinion that the iMacs sorely need to be updated. If you count yourself among their number, we may have good news: word on the street says that the new iMacs could be just days away.
Clayton Morris of Fox News insists that “the iMacs are coming.” Citing “multiple sources,” Morris suggests that the “new lineup of desktop machines from Apple is imminent.”
Will that mean the new iMacs will land at the same time as the iPhone 5, on September 12th? We’ll have to wait and see. Our guess? Wireless charging in the iPhone 5 that works when you rest it on the iMac’s base.
