Well looky here! HTC has confirmed it’ll update its One X and One S handsets to Jelly Bean, just a day after a network hinted HTC was preparing to roll it out.
So if you’ve got either phone, get ready for a taste of Jelly Bean.
HTC sent out a statement to The Verge. It’s from HTC’s global online communications manager Jeff Gordon, and reads: “We know HTC fans are excited to get their hands on Google’s latest version of Android. At this point in time, we can confirm that we have plans to upgrade our HTC One X, HTC One XL and HTC One S to Jelly Bean. Please stay tuned for more updates regarding device upgrades, timing and other details about HTC and Jelly Bean.”
There’s still no date given as yet, which is a little annoying. But still, considering how quiet the other manufacturers are keeping, it’s nice to see someone come out and lay their cards on the table.
Samsung is the only company to have made available the update so far. Owners of the Galaxy S3 can update their phones to Jelly Bean as we speak. The rest of us? We’ll just have to wait a while longer.
