Gameloft has announce the first tie-in game for the final grim ‘n gritty Batman flick. The Dark Knight Rises will swoop onto Android and iOS devices this summer.
The final film in Christopher Nolan’s trilogy of ‘realistic’ Batman movies premieres on 20th July. Returning to Gotham City, Bruce Wayne find a major new villain in the form of muscled mask fetishist Bane and an intriguing young lass who enjoys dressing as a cat and stealing things. Business as usual, in other words. The film looks like a lot of fun and a flick of that calibre needs a top-notch tie-in game. Handily, it looks as though Gameloft may have one lined up for mobile gamers.
The Dark Knight Rises is a 3D beat ‘em up that looks not a million miles away from the recent Batman: Arkham City console game, with lots of thug-punching combos and brooding shots of Batman on top of gargoyles and whatnot. The trailer looks decent and Gameloft has some form at cramming a lot of 3D fun into a mobile device, so fingers crossed for this – check it out by thumping the play button below.
