We’ve stumbled across something brilliantly ironic. Siri in the iPhone 4S has an urge to tell you the truth no matter what, sometimes to its detriment. Case in point? When you ask it for its opinion on which is the best phone ever.
Ask Siri “what’s the best cell phone of all time?” or “what’s the best cell phone ever?” and it’ll dip into its Wolfram Alpha-backed brain and dig out the following answer: the Nokia Lumia 900. In the Cyan colour, and on US network AT&T.
Why so? Because Apple clearly didn’t fit Siri with a wry response to that question, so its instinct is to consult the Wolfram Alpha database of handset reviews. Based on customer satisfaction, it seems that Nokia’s new flagship beats just about everything else on the web, which leaves Siri no choice but to present it as the winner.
