Off to a festival this year? If so, you’ll probably be worried about one thing: how the hell is a smartphone meant to survive for four or five days in a dusty field? Luckily, there’s an answer: Vodafone’s massive, Optimus Prime-aping VIP Recharge Truck. Voda’s just announced where it’ll be and when; read on for the full lineup.
The Vodafone VIP Recharge Truck will be doing the rounds this summer, offering free juice to up to 2,000 handsets at once. Vodafone claims it’ll help around 72,000 festival-goers stay pumped during the course of the summer.
So where’s it making an appearance? The Vodafone VIP Recharge Truck will be at Download festival during the 8th-10th of June 2012, Isle of Wight festival for the 22-24th June, T in the Park during 6-8th July, Latitude for the 12-15th July, Global Gathering during the 27th and 28th July, and finally at both Reading and Leeds festivals during the 24-26th August.
