The Nokia Lumia 900, the Finns’ latest flagship Windows Phone, has been given its first UK release date, courtesy of Phones4u. It’ll be missing 4G, but it will be coming this month, and with some extra goodies in tow.

Phones4u has just announced that the Nokia Lumia 900, which packs a 4.3-inch screen and Windows Phone 7.5, is up for pre-order now, and will go on sale on 27 April. Phones4u has exclusivity on the white model, and will also provide a free Nokia 360 wireless speaker worth £120 with pre-orders. Contract pricing starts at £36 per month.

For SIM-free customers meanwhile, the Nokia Lumia 900 will retail for £486 on Clove.co.uk. The retailer has yet to announce an exact shipping date, but it will likely be around the end of the month also. Nokia has also confirmed that Carphone Warehouse will stock the Lumia 900, but has not revealed a shipping date for it.

Espoo is betting the farm on the Nokia Lumia 900, hoping it will crack the US market where it has failed time and again before. A 4G connection (not included in the UK model), an aggressive $99 (£62) pricepoint and a huge marketing blitz have helped build hype so far. It has only received middling reviews, but appears to be selling well, topping the mobile best-seller charts over at Amazon.com.

I really wanted to get my hands on the Lumia but right now, I still have to wait until it’s going to be cheaper. Beautiful phone, really.
