The HTC One X is a very good phone. In fact, according to our review, it’s probably the best Android phone available in the world. Perhaps even the universe. You want it, right? So when can you have it? And for how much? Stop panicking: we’ve gone through and uncovered the best UK HTC One X deals.
HTC’s newest beast ends a lot of our worries. The once-king of Android has had a spell in second place behind Samsung, but right now the One X is top dog, marking a great return to form for HTC.
So when’s it out? The HTC One X lands in the UK on Thursday the 5th of April (although some retailers are going to be able to ship from the 3rd), and will be available across a range of networks. T-Mobile’s been first out of the gates, announcing that it’ll be available for free on The Full Monty plan – a 24-month contract for £41 per month. Head to Carphone Warehouse and you can undercut that, though.
HTC One X review: As good as it gets?
O2, Orange and Vodafone are all offering the phone for free on 24 month contracts from £36, with data ranging between 500MB and 1GB, and minutes varying between 600 or 900. All of them have unlimited texts.
It’s a similar story at Phones 4u, although you do get the option of reducing the monthly cost if you opt to pay something towards the phone. The best deal in that respect seems to be on Vodafone, where you can get the HTC One X for £119.99 on a £26pm contract, giving you 250MB of data, 100 minutes and 500 texts.
If you pre-order from Phones 4u you also get a free HTC Medialink HD (worth £80) for sending your phone’s signal to your TV.
Want to buy the phone outright? Clove has it for £410 minus VAT, which equates to a £492 total. That’s £8 cheaper than Expansys, but is still a bit pricier than the SIM-free £479.95 Carphone Warehouse pre-order price.
