Still waiting for your Ice Cream Sandwich update? You might not have to. The latest release candidate of CyanogenMod (7.2) has brought a raft of Android 4.0 features to phones running on Android 2.3. Read on for the full details.

The ‘release candidate’ is a nearly-finished, publicly available version of CyanogenMod 7.2, which has been tweaked to port a load of Ice Cream Sandwich tricks onto older devices. 69 older devices, to be specific. While CM 9 is currently being built to tackle Ice Cream Sandwich full and proper for phones like the Galaxy S2 and Nexus S, this option proffers a similar experience.
