Some may say they verge on the rude. But I will rise above that. Do not think that because I engage you in conversation, and explore your ideas, that I haven't understood what you are saying. Your original post indicated that you didn't want an oversized MacBook Air. My previous post suggested that maybe you shouldn't judge the rumoured 15in model by the performance of the current 11/15in models. I also dealt with your post about storage space and ODD. Yes, I did read your posts. Did you? Well, your posts certainly have a truncated, pompous tone. Some may say they verge on the rude. But I will rise above that. I was just concerned you were judging the capabilities of the rumoured 15in MBA by the current 11/13in MBA models. It is unlikely Apple would discontinue their current MBP without replacing it with something at least as capable. We do not yet know what size SSD they may install in it. I would have thought a 500gb option wouldn't be unrealistic. That leaves us with the optical drive. I can manage without it for most of my requirements, certainly when I'm mobile. For the rest of the time, I would be happy to use the portable ODD. But we don't yet know what plans Apple may have to overcome the removal of the ODD. For me, I feel it may be advantageous to wait a few weeks and see what happens. They may even end up selling the MBP alongside the MBA at a reduced price. Who knows. I need the ODD and I ordered a 750 GB  HD which I can replace with a SSD when the price comes down. I don't need an oversized MacBook Air, which I dislike. I am oft times out of range of wifi and need files locally. I know all the "Yes, buts..." however I chose to buy a new 15" MBP because it suits my needs. You are missing my point.
