You may be waiting for your handset to receive the upgrade to Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), so it probably won’t help if we tell you that the iPhone 4S has been gifted the Android 4.0 skills first, right? Well sort of, anyway. Read on for the details.
The Shanzhai market’s iPhone is pretty bang on in terms of physical design – the casing is near identical to that of its official Apple counterpart, as is its packaging. It’s got the same 960×640 resolution display and a pair of cameras. That’s just about where the similarities end, though.
Inside the faux iPhone boasts a measly 512MB of RAM. It’s got just 8GB of storage on board, but the real boon is Android Ice Cream Sandwich. Admittedly, the version installed is heavily skinned to make it look more like iOS, but it’s still Android 4.0 nonetheless.
Perhaps the most impressive thing about this whole swizz is the fact that Shanzhai has imbued it with a Vlingo-powered Siri rival – we don’t mean it has Vlingo installed; we mean it’s baked in just like Apple’s humble voice assistant.
